Ingrid King practices in general commercial and public law. She regularly appears for private companies, insolvency practitioners, directors and government entities in State and Federal courts, commercial arbitrations and tribunals.
Ingrid has a strong background in corporate law (including insolvency), regulatory law, and statutory interpretation. Ingrid also regularly appears at commissions of inquiry and at Royal Commissions.
While frequently led by senior counsel, she also appears unled, including at an appellate level.
Ingrid also teaches Compliance: Financial Services Industry at the University of Sydney and she was the NSW Co-chair of the Insolvency and Restructuring Committee of the Law Council of Australia from 2020 through to 2023. Ingrid was appointed a Legal Member of the Pharmacy Council of NSW in June 2024. She is now a member of the Ministerial Pool of Insolvency Practitioner Registration and Disciplinary Committees. She is also a director of SPELD NSW, a registered charity advancing the interests of people with specific learning difficulties.
